Serving people with disabilities and their families

The mission of TARC (Teach Assist Reach Connect) is to provide opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to realize their full potential, to fulfill their gifts and talents, and to become self-directed and contributing citizens. Rotarian Edwards Jones Financial Advisor Tammy Earles invited guest speaker CEO of TARC Kathleen Ables to speak at last Thursday’s Rotarian luncheon. As the parent of an adult child with special needs, Ables is committed to being an advocate for the citizens in our community with disabilities to have access to the resources and programs they need. Kathleen informed the Rotarians, “TARC is not income-based and you never know when you might need the services and that you have to find the services they don’t find you.” For more information on TARC they can be contacted at (985) 345-8811 or www.tarc-hammond.com.
