All I can say is Dogs Rule!

Dogs have always been a big part of my life and I am so blessed to be able to make a living working with our canine friends. Dog spelled backwards is GOD and I truly believe they are Man’s Best Friend! After all, they have been taking care of man since the beginning of time!
Hello! I’m Stephanie Kraemer of Ponchatoula and have owned Stephanie’s Pet Cottage for seven years! My business is located behind the fire station on Beech Street and not only do I groom dogs but my passion is in rescuing them too! I volunteer for Dante’s Hope Dog Rescue of Louisiana.
Dante’s Hope is a 501c3 nonprofit for the purpose of animal rescue in memory of Dante, a standard poodle who inspired many people. The rescue’s founding date was 2/19/16.
Dante’s Hope is committed to promoting the welfare of animals through rescue, medical treatment and public education. The goal is to help prevent overpopulation, euthanasia and cruelty to neglected animals.  All dogs matter!
The reason for this column is to help educate people on caring for their pets physically and mentally! I hope and pray the public will consider adopting rather than purchasing dogs. Adoptions cost $150 to $200 depending on the dog.

Before adopting the dogs out, we check for heart worms, vaccinate, and spay or neuter.

This is a wonderful program! If you would like to volunteer to foster or work adoption day on Saturday at PetSmart in Baton Rouge, please contact Dante’s Hope. (www.danteshope.com). The more foster homes we have to place the dogs, the more dogs we can rescue from being euthanized! The dogs up for adoption have a presence online and go every Saturday to PetSmart for local adoption. If you are interested in getting a dog, please go to our website and fill out the application. We do have guidelines that must be met before approval. We make sure these dogs are going to loving homes.
You can’t buy love, but you can rescue it!

RESCUE ON!
