The Ponchatoula Times is located near the strategic North-South Interstate 55 and East-West Interstate 10 crossroads and is only 45 minutes drive from both downtown New Orleans and downtown Baton Rouge. These are the readers of The Ponchatoula Times, the largest weekly newspaper in this six parish (county) region of Louisiana.
Downtown Ponchatoula has a tourist-based economy centered on its federally-recognized historic district which has been developed into “America’s Antique City” and is home to scores of antique shops, complemented by fine restaurants, and by many individual tourist attractions in and around the city.
